as the keys will unlock the gold weapons crate with items scaled to your exisiting level. more than likely your first green weapon in UVHM, will be better than any weapon reward you recieve by completing the DLC, now this is the best time to use your gold keys. but understand that doing that will not grant you the weapons needed for UVHM and beyond, as UVHM, scales to your level as well. Knock out the DLC with the challenge meant to be. (after killing the warrior TVHM) as all of that content, will scale to your level, lv 50+ Now, (in my opinion) is the best time to play the DLC content. meaning that the level limits above, for the DLC, no longer apply. kill the warrior to unlock level scaling for ALL content. this is also probably the best mode to complete all vanilla content, if you havent already. Play through TVHM, story, side quests, ect. kill the warrior (end boss), to unlock TVHM. but if you over level that, the content will easily catch up, so you wont be overleveled for long. Play through normal mode storyline, side quests ect. so best to wait to start DLC quests until you're absolutely ready. the quest you started at lv18 will give lv18 rewards, not lv35. ie, lv18 you roll into scarlett., start a quest, it scales to lv18. this is in "normal" mode.Īlso keep in mind, that if you say, just pop in to explore the DLC content, but not want to complete it. anytime after that low level cap, and the DLC content will level with your existing level and scale to its maximum level. if you enter that area, from the very first FTN, at level one, you will be greated with that lowest level mob cap.
